Frederick Heiskell

Frederick Heiskell was born 1752 in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, and died 1815 in Stony Creek, Shenandoah County, Virginia. He married Catherine Von Steidinger 1774 in Virginia, daughter of Frederick and Magdalena Steidinger. She was born 1756, and died February 1818 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Her father was from Wetterschaussen, Wurttemburg, Germany. Frederick Heiskell was a merchant, and the father of ten children:

Amelia "Millie" Heiskell b: 11 March 1777 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. She married Jacob Shryock on 11 June 1793. They settled in Shenandoah County, and had 11 children: Frederick Steidinger Shryock, Catherine 'Kitty' Shryock, Louis Shryock, Louisa Ann Shryock, Amelia [Emily] Lauck Shryock, Henry Soladay Shryock, Sophie Heiskell Shryock, Susan [Susanna] Heiskell Shryock 1, Ann Julia Shryock, Mary Shryock, Sarah Shryock.

Sophia Williams Heiskell b: January 1797 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. Sophia Williams Heiskell married Mordacai Lincoln on 15 April 1819 in Knox County, Tenn. They are buried in Old Harmony Cemetery (First Presbyterian Cemetery) Greeneville, Tennessee.

1 She married Madison J. Riddleberger on 15 December 1830. Their son Harrison Holt Riddleberger was a US Senator for Virginia and a captain in the Confederate Army. He is mentioned in a letter from Tyler Davis Heiskell.
