Blanch[e] Saunders Heiskell

Born December 23, 1862 in Tennessee to John M. Heiskell and Elizabeth Ann Riley Leeper Heiskell. In 1870, she lived with her parents in Morganton, Blount County, TN.

She married twice. First, to James Cowan McClung on 19 Decmeber 1880. 1He was born 5 November 1854, educated at Maryville College (Maryville, TN ), and ran a pharmacy. He moved to Fresno, California on 19 May 1882, where he was engaged in farming and carpentry. He died in Fresno on 5 September 1889. James and Blanche had four children: Hugh Mitchell McClung, born 11 July 1882, a Fresno contractor; Milton Cowan McClung, born 3 Nov 1888. ; Myrtle, born 17 Dec 1884 and died 17 Sep 1885; and Mabel, born 30 Aug 1886. She died 13 Feb 1891.

Blanche's second husband was George C. Cheuvront. They had three children: George (b. 1894); Claud (b. 1900) and Gladys Blanche (b. ca. 1902). In 1909 George killed Blanche, Claud and then himself. She died one day short of her 47th birthday on December 22, 1909. Blanche is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Fresno.
