The Federal
Courthouse and Post Office, 7th and Mission Street, San Francisco
was opened in 1905, and built from Raymond granite after a controversial
bidding war. It was one of the few buildings left standing
after the great earthquake
of 1906. Raymond granite also went into the construction of other
notable San
Francisco buildings.
