Susan Patterson Heiskell

Susan Patterson Heiskell was the daughter of Tyler Davis Heiskell and Isabel Patterson. In 1870 she lived in Buena Vista, Stanislaus County, California (now known as Knight's Ferry 9 miles northeast of Oakdale, on the north side of the Stanislaus River.) In 1880 she lived in Camp Washington, Stanislaus, California (now known as Chinese Camp, Tuolumne, California).

In 1888, at Oakdale, Calif., she married Robert F. Jack. Robert Jack came to California in 1869 with his brother-in-law, James Montgomery Heiskell, the son of Daniel Heiskell, who was the uncle of Tyler Davis Heiskell.

Susan and Robert had one son, Tyler H. Jack. The census for 1900 shows the family living in Fresno, Calif., and by 1910 Susan was widowed.

Susan Patterson Heiskell was born in April 1859. Her husband was born in Tennessee in February 1854, and her son, Tyler Heiskell Jack on 6 November 1888 in Parlier, Calif. The 1910 census shows that Tyler was a farmer. He died in Tulare, California on 20 Jan 1985, but had been living in Reedley (Fresno County, Calif.). Tyler H. Jack registered for the draft in World War I.
